Since its founding in 1958, the Italian Association of Lighting conducts a constant activity of scientific, technical and cultural information for the diffusion of the knowledge of issues related to lighting.

ASSIL

ASSIL


In 1945 the Association was first established within the constitution of the National Association of Electrotechnical and Electronic Companies (ANIE), has 10° Group "Lighting Bodies" and 12° Group "Light Bulbs". In 1995 the Italian Association of Lighting Manufacturers (ASSIL) is formed. In 2008 ASSIL became an independent legal entity, but remained part of ANIE. The objectives of the Association are representing, protecting and supporting member Companies. These targets are achieved by giving technical support to promote good lighting practice. The purpose is to enhance the quality and performance of lighting products placed on the market, respecting individuals’ visual comfort, energy efficiency requirements and environmental safeguard, as well as creating business opportunities for these products.

The French Association of Light Designers and Lighting aims to promote light matter and the profession of light designer and independent specialist. Founded in 1995, the Association has around 90 members whose profiles reflect the evolution and wealth of the profession.

ECOLIGHT


Established in 2004, ECOLIGHT is a national non-profit Consortium that assembles more than 1,500 businesses and ensures the management and disposal of WEEE, exhausted batteries and accumulators and photovoltaic modules at the end of life in full respect of the environment, in one logic of sustainable development and maximum efficiency.

The Austrian Light Engineering Society, founded in 1924, focuses on the maintenance and promotion of the whole lighting sector and light engineering both at a theoretical and practical level; in particular in research, education, vocational training and standardization.

SIG

SIG


The Italian Tunnelling Society, founded in 1974, is an open cultural Association involved in promoting, coordinating and divulging studies and research in the field of tunnel construction and great underground works. Activities include organising cultural meetings, technical visits and informative courses, print and circulation of publications as well as coordinating participation for scientific and technical conventions. SIG is also a "Nation Member" for Italy in the International Tunnelling Association (ITA), and sends its delegates every year to participate in assemblies and work group activities.

UNI


UNI - Italian National Unification - is a private non-profit Association recognized by the Italian government and the European Union that has been developing and publishing voluntary technical standards - UNI standards - in all industrial, commercial and service sectors for nearly 100 years.
UNI represents Italy in the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and organizes the participation of national delegations in the work of supranational standardization, with the aim of:

  • promoting the harmonization of the rules necessary for the functioning of the Single Market;
  • supporting and transposing the peculiarities of Made in Italy by technical specifications which enhance national experience and productive tradition.
