Seafront

Capaccio Paestum, Italy

The first section, 1 km long, of the Capaccio Paestum seafront in Campania has been inaugurated.

The project provides for the overall environmental redevelopment and safety of 3 km of the city's coastal strip.

"We are inaugurating the first part of a revolutionary work for Capaccio Paestum. The city, despite having one of the best-known and most popular coastal strips in Campania, has not so far had a metre of redeveloped seafront suitable for safe walking. The project will give the coastal strip of our municipality a completely new face, will finally give dignity and safety to an area that has been left in neglect and degradation for years, and will also provide a new stimulus to the tourist activities that insist on it," has said Mayor Franco Alfieri during the inauguration.

For the lighting of the seafront has been chosen the projector Kosmos Flood in the pole mounted version. The cylindrical shape of the product, an extreme geometric abstraction of urban street lamps, is made sinuous and elegant by the curvature of the lower surface.

The intervention, thanks also to a soft and diffuse lighting, has given a completely new look to the seaboard, allowing it to be enjoyed even at night.
